WOMEN’S INTRODUCTION TO CLIMBING WORSHOP
Time: 9:00am - 2:00pm
About:Join Jocelyn Cohen for an introduction to climbing trees for women. She will demystify the basics from knots to gear. Why do so few women climb and why are we not climbing safely? We can wear a comfortable climbing saddle and use simple ropes in order to be safe and have FUN. Imagine leaning out from the center of a tree to an outer limb with both hands free! This is a safe place for women to learn with other women. You may be curious about climbing but not sure how to get started? This is for you. Amazingly and ironically men's champion climber Chad Brey will be on hand to help out. He will also bring an assortment of saddles and basic gear for you to try on to see what works best for you. We will answer questions and a champion expert and I will assure you are learning each step correctly. We will learn knots, review equipment and demonstrate entry of trees, positioning of ropes and use of a short climbing line. •Limited to women professional pruners and arborists.
